Brew Guides

General Tips
  • Nothing's worse than getting halfway through a pot of tea only to find it's gone cold, so if you plan on taking your time, make a habit of pre-warming your pot or cup with boiling water so that it's ready to maintain a hot brew.
  • You shouldn't wear stale old underwear on a date, so treat your tea the same.
It deserves freshly boiled water every time.
  • Tea needs room to move to release its full flavour; you can't stuff it into a nasty little cramped infuser and expect it to be happy about it. Use a basket infuser to get the most out of each cup.
  • The brewing time for each tea is listed within a range; the tea's character changes over that time, so experiment with different infusions until you find your sweet spot.
  • If you find that you want your tea to be stronger, don't brew it for longer, use more tea. Over-brewing tea won't wring more flavour out of the leaves, it'll just burn them and make you sad.
